AKP004: Alaska Bear Watching

Scenic Charter!

<p>WestWind Alaska Regional is proud to offer two bear watching adventures. Two local bear watching tours have contracted us to bring passengers from Anchorage to their locations. Depart Lake Hood Seaplane airport (LHD) and fly passengers to their selected tour location:</p> <li><b>Option 1:</b> Chisik Island is approximately 100nm from Lake Hood on a heading of 200 degrees. Land near the southern point of the island and taxi to the boat that will be waiting for you. The tour guide will provide you with an expected pick-up time. Be on time so we don’t leave our passengers and tour guides waiting. <p> <li><b>Option 2:</b> Crescent Lake is approximately 98nm from Lake Hood on a heading of 220 degrees. Land on the southeast portion of the lake and taxi to the campground at N60*21.37, W152*51.55. The tour company will meet you and your passengers at the beachfront. You are more than welcome to stay at the campground and enjoy the facilities while your passengers are on their tour. As part of the contract, the tour company will provide you with lunch just like they do their tour guests.<.li> <p>Once headed home from whichever tour your passengers chose, give them a low flyover of all the beautiful scenery on the way back to Lake Hood. As safety is our priority, this aspect of the return flight will be at Captain's discretion as weather conditions allow. With ATC permission, give them a low flyover of Anchorage also. Honor any reasonable request your passengers have.
